Terms and Conditions

Your Rights as a Customer

We undertake to deliver your order as agreed. If changes become unavoidable we will contact you as soon aspossible. You will then have the choice between an alternative product or delivery date, or a full refund.

Warranty

ANA stands behind the craftsmanship of each pair of shoes. All footwear is guaranteed for six months from the date of purchase. Any problem which appears under proper use, we'll take care of it.

True Colours

Leather is an organic material and slight irregularities and score marks are part if its nature. For the same reason the colours may vary slightly. We will be pleased to send you samples of the leather we will be using for your shoes before you place an order.

Orthopaedic insoles

Historic footwear is not firm enough to support orthopaedic insoles and their use will damage the shoes. Damage caused to shoes through mis-use with orthopaedic insoles is not covered by the warranty. All shoes and boots of the machine-stitched product range must be worn without orthopaedic insoles. Some styles of the hand-stitched product range of footwear can be adapted to the use of orthopaedic insoles, but special conditions must be agreed upon prior to placing an order.

Returns

Shoes in Standard sizes:

Our standard sizes for hand-stitched shoes run from 4 to 13 (UK adult sizes). Our machine-stitched shoes run from 1 to 13 (UK adult sizes). We will match up your measurements with our standard sizes and deliver you with the best fit. If you are not happy with the shoes you have the right to return them to us unworn within one month of receipt. We will refund you the full price of the shoes minus postage and you will also have to pay for the postage of the return.

Shoes in Non-Standard sizes:

Shoes in non-standard sizes and shoes with individual adjustments are not returnable.
If we find on receiving your order that you require a wider or narrower fit than usual, we will contact you for confirmation before we go ahead with the order.

Liability

Authentic historical footwear does not have the same grip as most modern shoes, especially when wet. The Customer knowingly accepts this increased risk and accepts that ANA refuses any liability for any injuries resulting from this fact. Use extreme caution when walking on wet or slippery surfaces. Any modifications to these goods are at the customers own risk.

Payment

All prices are in pounds sterling. Full payment is required on placing the order unless agreed otherwise. For ways of payment please have a look at our payment page.

General Descriptive Matter

Whilst every endeavour is made to ensure accuracy, all specifications, illustrations or other details contained in the catalogue are intended merely to present a general idea and ANA reserves the right without prior notice to discontinue any goods or to make design changes as part of a continuous programme of improvement or to assist availability.

Security and Data Protection

We need to store some information about you to process your order. We will use any personal data given by you only to process your order.

Carriage will be charged on orders involving export at the appropriate rates as listed on our ordering page. The Customer is responsible at their own expense to obtain any import or export license or any other documentation deemed necessary by any compliant authority.
